カナダ、Hさん

I returned from Canada yesterday. Last month, I was able to spend a lot of time with my friends. We went to Vancouver, where we visited cafes and had BBQ. On my birthday, my friends prepared a cake for me. I also got to visit a traditional garden in Victoria. I had many sleepovers with my friends, as well. The final projects and exams were a bit challenging. However, I was very happy to be able to spend a lot of time with my friends and family until the end.

The biggest point where I was able to grow while studying abroad in Canada was becoming independent and doing things on my own. When I was in Japan, I couldn’t do much housework because I had to focus on my studies. Since Canada doesn’t have many trains, I had more opportunities to go out, and I came to go anywhere by myself.

My mother had been expecting me to become independent more than anything, so I’m glad I could grow in that way. Additionally, studying abroad increased my interest in overseas experiences. In the future, I would like to work in a profession where I can go abroad.

Reflecting on my experiences, it was truly fulfilling to be able to balance my academic responsibility with meaningful social interactions. The support and companionship of my friends made even the challenging moments enjoyable. The cultural experiences, like visiting Vancouver’s cafes and BBQ spots and exploring the traditional garden in Victoria, were incredibly enriching.

Overall, my time in Canada not only allowed me to build lasting friendships and memories but also helped me develop essential life skills. My increased independence and self-reliance are qualities that I will carry forward in my future endeavors. I am grateful for the opportunity to study abroad and for the personal growth it has afforded me. My aspirations have broadened, and I now have a clearer vision of pursuing a career that involves international opportunities. This experience has undoubtedly been a significant milestone in my life, shaping me into a more confident and capable individual.

昨日カナダから帰国しました。最後の月はたくさん友達と遊ぶことができました。バンクーバーに行ってカフェや焼肉に行きました。誕生日には友達がケーキを用意してくれました。ヴィクトリアにある伝統的なガーデンに行くことができました。友達と沢山お泊まりもできました。ファイナルプロジェクトや最終試験は少し大変でした。最後まで沢山友達や家族と過ごすことができてとても嬉しかったです。

私がカナダに留学して1番成長することができた点は自立して自分のことは自分でするようになった点です。日本にいた時は勉強に集中するためにもあまり家事などができませんでした。カナダは電車などがなく外出する機会が日本より多かったので自分1人の力でどこでも行けるようになりました。私の母は何より私の自立を期待してくれていたので成長することができてよかったです。また私は留学したことによって海外への興味がより出てきました。将来は海外に行くことができたりする職業につきたいと思います。
