カナダ、Sさん

   It’s been eight months since I came to Canada. My host mother took me pancake house where there is a maple syrup farm. I could put maple syrup on the pancake as much as I want, and it was so good. There were boards that told me the history of maple syrup and I could learn about maple syrup. There was also a small museum with old tools for cutting trees and so on. There are many maple farms in Canada. I have been three different maple farms. I was glad to go there.

   In school, I am in charge of the lighting in drama class. We are working on the play, which we will probably perform to everyone in school. I was not assigned the actor, so I felt I was outsider of the play, but adjusting the light to match the movement of the play is fun.

   I have to finish some of the assignments individually in English class, but there are a few times I can work on the assignments in the class. I will try to finish them.

   I went to Montreal where I wanted to go for a long time. I watched basketball game and it was not like serious game, it was like comedy and joking around all the time to make the audience laugh. I went to nice restaurant, aquarium and Old Port which has Ferris wheel. After getting to the Ferris wheel, I was going to go around the town in Montreal and looked at the map, there is Notre-Dame Basilica. I didn’t know that it was close to the place where I was and I went there. The inside of Notre-Dame Basilica was so beautiful and I was impressed. I was glad to have happened to be there. The buildings and streets in Montreal were so pretty. I could buy some souvenirs there. I was really glad to go there.

   I feel the days pass so quickly and I am surprised that I have only two months. I’m going to do my best in the rest of the time.

　カナダに来て8ヶ月が経ちました。私のホストマザーがメープル農場のパンケーキハウスに連れて行ってくれました。メープルシロップがかけ放題でとてもおいしかったです。メープルシロップシロップの歴史が書かれたあるボードがあってメープルシロップの事を知ることが出来ました。昔の木を切る道具などがおいてある小さな博物館のような物もありました。カナダには沢山のメープル農場があります。もう三つのちがうメープル農場にいきました。そこに行けてよかったです。

　学校ではドラマのクラスで照明をしています。おそらく学校のみんなに披露する劇に向けて取り組んでいます。私は最初演技する人ではなく、ただ立っている役で、ほとんど出番がなく劇に参加している気がしませんでしたが照明をしてから、劇の動きに合わせて照明を調節するのが楽しいです。

　英語のクラスでの個人でするいくつかの課題を終わらせなければならないのですが、授業で取り組める時間が少なく焦っています。終わらせられるように頑張ります。

　私はずっと行ってみたかったモントリオールに行きました。バスケットボールの試合を観ました。それは本気のゲームじゃく、コメディーみたいで、ふざけたりしてずっと客を笑わせるようなものでした。

　他にはレストランや水族館、オールドポートという観覧車がある所などにいきました。観覧車に乗った後、モントリオールの街を歩こうとマップを見たら、ノートルダム大聖堂が近くにあって驚いて、すぐに行きました。中はとても綺麗で感動しました。偶然に行けて良かったです。モントリオールの建物や街がとても可愛くておしゃれでした。お土産も買えました。本当に行けてよかったです。

　本当に早く月日がすぎて、後二ヶ月しかいないことに驚いています。残りも頑張ろうと思います。
