   It’s been 9 month since I came to America. It’s getting really hot in Utah.

   I spent a lot of time in nature this month. I went to hiking, lake and I watched movies in the yard.

   In Utah, there are many great places with numerous national parks where you can enjoy for free. It’s sad to think that I only have one more month to enjoy these views that I can’t see in Japan.

   Recently, as it’s been getting hotter, I played in the water with my host sister. We had a lot of fun playing with water guns, water balloons, and spreading soap on the trampoline, getting covered in bubbles together. It was really enjoyable.

   I made oyakodon bowl for my host family. Since I don’t usually cook, it took me a long time to make it. It was also challenging to figure out how to substitute ingredients that aren’t available in America. But I’m glad I made it deliciously.

   I went to a school prom. I joined the prom for the first time. Prom is a school party where everyone dresses up and attends. The day before the prom, I went shopping with my host mother for a dress and accessories. I was very happy because I found a cute dress that was affordable.

   On the day of the prom, we danced and had dinner together. I was happy to be able to talk with people I hadn’t talked before, and made friends with them.

   I want to spend the remaining month without regrets.

　アメリカに来て9ヶ月が経ちました。私のいるユタ州は本格的に暑くなってきました。

　今月は沢山自然に触れる遊びをしました。ハイキングに行ったり、湖に行ったり、庭でスクリーンを出して映画を見たりしました。

　ユタ州のいいところは、無料で遊べる国立公園が多くて気軽に遊びに行くことができ、日本では見られない景色が見られるので、あと1ヶ月しかこの景色が見られないと思うと悲しいです。夜と昼で景色が違うのでそこも楽しめます。

　また、最近暑くなってきたので庭でホストシスターと水遊びをしました。水風船や水鉄砲で遊んだり、トランポリンに泡をまいて一緒に泡だらけになったりとても楽しかったです。

　ホストファミリーに親子丼を作りました。普段あまり料理をしないので作るのに時間がかかったり、アメリカにない調味料をどのようにして補うかを考えるのが大変でしたけれど、美味しく食べてもらいおかわりもしてもらえたのでよかったです。

　学校で行われたプロムに行きました。初めてプロムに参加しました。プロムとは、学校のパーティーでみんなドレスアップして参加します。

　プロムの前日にホストマザーとドレスやアクセサリーなどを買いに行きました。安くて可愛いドレスが手に入ってとても嬉しかったです。

　プロム当日は、みんなで踊ったり食べ物を食べたりしました。大きな音で音楽を流してみんなで踊ることが楽しかったです。話したことなかった人と話したり、仲良くなれて嬉しかったです。

　最近はスケートボードを買ったので近くの知らない道を探検することにはまっています。9ヶ月間くらい今住んでいる家にいますが、知らない裏道やランニングコースがあったのでびっくりしました。

　あと残り1ヶ月悔いのないように過ごしたいと思いました。
