It’s already been eight months since I came to Canada. Even though I have only two months left, it doesn’t really feel real. My friend said that the remaining two months went by so quickly, so I’m going to visit many tourist spots I haven’t been to before and cherish each and every day. This month, I had a dance performance at Uvic (University of Victoria). I had performance last semester, but all of them were at the school, so I was really nervous this time. Last semester, I was in the senior class, which was a very high level for me as I had no experience, but this semester I could choose a class one level lower, so I was able to dance with confidence. After it was done, I was very happy to receive praises from many friends. I’m really excited with the night of dance, a dance performance at the school in June. Recently, I’ve been in the same class as a student from the previous semester, and she’s surprised at how much my English has improved since then, and she is always talking to me. We can talk about recent events, popular things, and our friends, and I’m very happy to realize how much I’ve improved. There are many new Japanese students who can speak English better than when I first came, and I think I need to work harder. However, sometimes they come to me when they don’t understand something, and I’m very happy about that. I have only two months left, and I’ll try my best to improve my English even more.
