ニュージーランド留学、Kさん

   It’s been 2 months since I came to New Zealand.  

   At first, I could hardly talk, but I’ve learned to talk and I’ve learned to start a conversation myself lately. If I could express myself, I feel a great sense of accomplishment!

   Last week, host mother and her baby’s birthday party was held. In Japan, I get presents from a few people such as family and friends, but she got many presents from many people at birthday party in New Zealand.

   The next day, I went to a farewell party for students who had been studying abroad for 3 months. We played card games, went shopping, made lunch and ate it. Some students will still be in New Zealand, but some have gone home in Japan. I’ve been getting along with them since I first came to New Zealand, so I’m very sad.

   I heard a happy story from my host mother lately. A host sister, a host brother and their father will come to Tokyo a year later. It seems that the host mother can’t go because she has a baby, but I’m very happy that they will come to Tokyo. They will stay in Tokyo for about 10 days or two weeks. Of course, I will guide them.

   At school, My friends teach me how to speak English. My friends asked me to teach them Japanese. I made a hiragana’s Japanese syllable table and gave it.

　ニュージーランドに来て、２ヶ月が経ちました。

　最初はほとんど話すことができなかったけれど、だんだんと話せるようになって、最近では私から話しています。自分の力で伝えられた時、とても達成感を感じます！

　先週はホストマザーとマザーの赤ちゃんの誕生日パーティがありました。日本では親や友達などからプレゼントをもらいますが、ニュージーランドの誕生日パーティーではたくさんの人たちからたくさんのプレゼントをもらっていました。

　その翌日には３ヶ月留学の人のお別れパーティーに行きました。みんなでカードゲームをしたり、買い物に行って、お昼ご飯を作って食べたりしました。まだニュージーランドにいる人もいますが、何人かは帰ってしまいました。ニュージーランドに来たばかりの頃から仲良くしていたので、とても悲しいです。

　最近は、ホストファミリーから嬉しい話を聞きました。ホストシスターとホストブラザー、その子たちの父親が一年後に東京に来るそうです。ホストマザーは赤ちゃんがいるので行けないそうですが、東京に来てくれるなんてとても嬉しいです。10日から2週間ほど滞在するそうです。もちろん、私は案内するつもりでいます。

　学校では、私は英語の発音の仕方を友達に教わっています。友達からは日本語を教えてほしいと言われました。私はひらがなの五十音表を作って友達にあげました。
