カナダ留学、I さん

   It’s been seven months since I came to Canada. I feel so lonely when I think that I only have three more months, and I once again felt how quickly time passes. This month, I have spring break from March 18th to April 2nd. My local friends are on a family trip, so I don’t get to see them very often, and there’s really not much I can do in Victoria, so I’m often at home preparing for university exams. This month, I went to a hockey game venue and watched a real game. The venue was very hot, and I got free water bottles. I also went to Hatley Castle, the location of the movies as Descendants, X-Man, and Arrow. I could see the ocean from the castle, and the weather was good, so it was a lot of fun.

   One day, when I was returning from a ramen shop with a friend, there was a beautifully shining star, and when I pointed at it to tell my friend, the light disappeared in an instant. I was very surprised and felt a little happy to see my first UFO overseas. It seems that my friend had also seen it at the time, and we kept talking on the way home.

　カナダに来て7ヶ月が経ちました。あと3ヶ月だと思うととても寂しくて、改めて時の流れを早く感じました。今月は3月18日〜4月2日にかけて春休みがあります。現地の友達は家族旅行に行っていて、会える日が少ないのと、ビクトリアはほんとにできることが少なく、家にいることが多いので受験対策などをしています。今月はホッケーのゲーム会場に行って、本場の試合を見ました。会場はとても熱気で包まれていて、フリーのウォーターボトルを貰いました。また、映画ディセンダントやエックスマン、アローなどのロケ地、ハットレイキャッスルにも行きました。キャッスルからは海が見えて、天気も良かったのでとても楽しかったです。

　ある日、友達とラーメン屋さんから帰っていると、綺麗に光っている星があり、友達に教えるために指差すと一瞬でその光が消えました。海外で人生初のUFOを見て、とても驚いたと共に少し嬉しかったです。友達もその時見ていたようで、2人でずっと語りながら帰りました。
