   It’s been 8 months since I came to America.

   Since the beginning of February, I have felt that each day has passed so quickly that I don’t want to go home yet. And this month, there was a prom that was also a pleasure to study abroad. I was really looking forward to it even before I came to study abroad, but it was really fun and time passed really fast on the day!

   The week before the prom, there was spring break, and since the beginning of March, everyone has been looking forward to participating in the prom. And after all, there’s a prom pose, which means that a boy asks a girl or friend he’s interested in joining him, and I got a prom pose, a stuffed toy and a snack, and some of them gave me a vase with roses on a big piece of paper, which was quite surprising, and very romantic. And on the prom day, my prom partner drove home to pick me up and ate sushi and took pictures before prom. It became a really good memories and at the same time, I felt sad about going back to Japan a little bit.

   But what I can guarantee is that my English ability has improved more than before, and I have been able to grow up outside of Japan. There are only about two months left, but I would like to continue enjoying my study abroad life.

　アメリカに来て8ヶ月が経ちました。

　本当に2月に入った頃から1日1日が過ぎていくのをとても早く感じ、まだ帰りたくないと考えたりする日も増えてきました。

　そして今月は留学の楽しみでもあったpromがありました。私は留学に来る前からとても楽しみにしていましたが、本当に楽しくて当日は時間が過ぎるのが本当に早かったです！

そしてpromの前の週には春休みがあり、3月に入ってからみんな春休み後にあるpromを楽しみに話し合ったりしていました。そしてなんと言ってもプロムポーズと言うのがあり、何かというと男の子が気になる女の子や友達にプロムを一緒に行かないかと誘う事を意味します。

　私もなんとプロムポーズを受け、ぬいぐるみとお菓子を貰いました。中にはバラが入った花瓶を渡すなど、結構びっくりしましたが、とてもロマンチックでした。そしてプロム当日には私のプロムパートナーが家まで車を運転して迎えに来てくれてprom前にお寿司を食べたり写真を撮ったりしました。本当に良い思い出になったと同時に日本に帰る事を少し惜しむ気持ちも正直あります。

　でも、断言できるのは絶対英語力は来る前よりは伸びたし日本以外の世界に来て自分自身が成長できた事です。残り約2ヶ月しかありませんが、引き続き留学生活を楽しみたいと思います。
