カナダ５カ月留学　Kさん

It’s been 4 months since I came to Canada.  I’m getting used to life here.  I was able to understand more of the content in class, and I was able to do more.  In the multimedia class, I was able to see how much I had grown when I compared my first and current work.  All assignments for Photography class were completed in November, so it was free time.  During that time, I talked with my friends sitting around me and worked on assignments from different classes.  In fashion class, I knitted for the first time in my life.  In fashion classes, you basically have to solve problems on your own.  So I worked hard while watching YouTube.  In fashion class, it is difficult to create worksheets or anything.  However, I am trying my best with the help of my friends.  In ESL and ELL classes, the speed at which I can solve problems has become faster.  I have more opportunities to talk with people from various countries.  I also met many people who liked Japan.  For example, anime, songs, psychic programs, etc.  There were also people who spoke Japanese and people who wanted me to teach them Japanese.  I am trying to learn more about the other country.  Thanks to that, I learned a lot.  Those are things that aren’t in textbooks.  I want to continue learning many things.  There is only one month left until I return to Japan.  I want to have a good time studying abroad by learning things that can only be learned in Canada.

12月は25日から冬休みに入りました。今月はクリスマスがある月なのでイベントも多く充実した毎日を送ることが出来ました。学校のイベントは映画鑑賞会に参加したり、コンサートを観に行きました。また、クラブ活動にも参加したいと思い、クラブのミーティングに参加しましたが学校に通える時期が短いためクラブ活動には加入出来ないと言われました。残念ですがその時間分違うことを経験しようと思います。友達とアイススケートショーを観たり、ジンジャーブレッドハウスやクリスマスクッキーを作りました。韓国人のルームメイトが20日に国に帰るので今までよりもたくさん話をしたり、カフェに行ったりしました。ルームメイトが帰るときに長文のメッセージを送ってくれました。読んだ時により一層寂しくなりました。それから5日経ってクリスマスになりました。ホストファミリーの姉妹のところにホームステイしている子2人とホストファミリーと過ごしました。日本のクリスマスと似ているようで似ていなくて留学に来ているんだなと改めて実感しました。

私の留学も残り1カ月になりました。悔いや後悔が残らないように1日1日を大切に過ごして行きたいです。
