アメリカ1年留学　Nさん

I came to America two months ago.

The weather in Utah is getting cooler and becoming a more comfortable season to enjoy. However, the dryness is  intense and sometimes it irritates my throat.

We had a lot of tennis matches this month. It’s tennis season now. So we have games at least once a week, and at most four times a week. I think it has been a very fulfilling month.

I have a memory of driving for three hours to the Salt Lake City match venue and staying overnight for two nights and three days with everyone. I am happy to be doing well as a tennis team this year.

I went on a trip with my host family. It was fun to go the lake on the first day and drive around the lake and see various scenery. On the second day, I went to a birthday party for my host father’s one-year-old nephew. I was surprised that we had a large party with many relatives invited for the baby’s first birthday, even though they were still just one year old. There were a lot of presents, food, and a very big cake, and I thought to myself, “This is truly America “

I am looking forward to Halloween in October.

アメリカに来て2ヶ月が経ちました。ユタ州はだんだん気温が下がってきて過ごしやすい季節になってきましたが、乾燥ですごく喉を痛めることもよくあります。

今月はテニスの大会がとても多かったです。テニスシーズンということもあり、最低週に１回、多い時には週に4回試合をすることもありました。充実した月だったなと思います。

テニスの試合会場があるソルトレイクシティまで車で3時間かけて行き、みんなで2泊３日のお泊まりをしました。試合後の夜は、みんなでシューティングゲームや買い物をしてとても楽しかったです。良い思い出になりました。

テニスチームとしても、良い結果を残せているようなので嬉しいです。

またホストファミリーとも旅行に行きました。1日目は湖に行き、とても寒かったため泳ぐことはできなかったのですが、車で湖の周りを走っていろんな景色が見られたので、とても楽しかったです。２日目はホストファザーの兄弟の一歳になる息子のお誕生日会に行きました。そこで私がびっくりしたのが、まだ一歳の子の誕生日会なのにたくさんの親戚を呼んでとても大きなパーティーをしていたことです。たくさんのプレゼント、料理、とても大きなケーキがありさすがアメリカだなと感じました。

10月は私が1番楽しみにしてるハロウィンがあるので楽しみです。
