A month has passed since I arrived in Las Vegas.

I’m getting used to my high school and host family house too!

I’m very relieved and happy that there are friends who eat lunch together, friends who kindly explain things to me when I have something I don’t understand or think about in class.

My host family was very kind and I was very careful at first, but now I can treat them like a real family. My host family has a 12-year-old daughter. At first we were both shy and it took some time for us to get along. Now, we think of each other as real sisters and do homework or watch movies together, and I love playing games with her already.

Recently, I went on a trip to Utah and Idaho.

It took me two hours by car to Utah, and I flew to Idaho. I had a fulfilling time visiting both of them and I had a very good experience.

For the first two weeks, I wanted to go back to Japan as soon as possible, but now that it’s already been a month, I feel a little sad that the day I return to Japan is approaching.

I was also very happy to learn that I have the same birthday as my host sister!

ラスベガスに着き1ヶ月が経ちました。

こちらの高校・ホストファミリー宅にも慣れてきました！

ランチを一緒に食べる友達や授業中に分からないことがあったり、考えこんでいる時に優しく教えてくれる友達や先生がいることがすごく嬉しく、充実しています。

ホストファミリーもすごく優しく、最初は少し気をつかうことがありましたが、今は本当の家族のように接するこができています。ホストファミリーには12歳の妹がいて、彼女とは最初どちらも人見知りで仲良くなるには少し時間がかかりましたが、今は、お互いのことを本当の姉妹のように思い、一緒に宿題をしたり映画を見たり、ゲームをしたりして、もうすでに大好きです!!

最近の話だとユタ州の別荘とアイダホ州にあるホストファザーの祖父母の家に旅行に行きました。

ユタ州には車で2時間かけて行き、アイダホ州には飛行機で行きました。どちらもすごく充実した時間を過ごすことができ、とても楽しく良い経験をする事ができました。

こちらに来て最初の2週間は「早く日本に帰りたい」と考えたりもしていましたが、今となっては、もう1ヶ月が経ってしまい、だんだんと日本に帰る日が近づいているのが少し悲しく思ったりもしています。

そしてなんと驚いた事に、妹とは同じ誕生日という事がついこの間分かり、とても嬉しかったです！
