留学生活も残り半分以上を切りました。

1月だというのにポートランドは早朝以外はさほど寒くなくむしろ日本よりも過ごしやすい気温です。

クリスマスは私にとってとても楽しい思い出として残りました。

親戚一同わたしのホストファミリーの家に集まり各々プレゼントを持ち寄りました。

アメリカでは日本以上にクリスマスを盛大に行う上にクリスマスならではのゲームなどもあってとても興味深かったです。

そのひとつとして【ホワイトエレファント】というゲームがあります。

一人一人上限25＄までのプレゼントを用意して、そのプレゼント全てを机の上に置き、みんな輪になって座って番号の書かれたくじを引きます。

1番の人から先にその机の上に置かれたプレゼントをどれでもいいので取ります。

次に2番目の人が取るのですがその時、2番目の人は1番目の人が選んだプレゼントか机の上に置かれたプレゼントを取ります。

奪われたプレゼントはstealといい同じプレゼントでこれをしていいのは3回まで。これを続けていき自分の本当に欲しいプレゼントを貰うゲームです。

私は一発目でキャンドルセットが当たりました。

今までこのようなゲームをやった事がなかったのでとてもいい体験が出来ました。

1月の16から18日にかけては1Semesterが終わる期間でこの三日間で期末テストを行いました。

やはり日本とは違っていて、教科によっては10問程度のものであったり、事前に自分が用意したノートを見ながら解いていいなど難易度で言ったら遥かに日本の方が難しいです。

学期末テストの終わりの日は1/2dayで学校が12時で終わります。午後には友人達とアイススケートしに行ったりその前にお揃いで服を購入したりしました。

友人も自分もアイススケートは初体験でしたが、以外に簡単で転ばずに初のアイススケートはなんとかいけました。

学校期間の半分が終わって早い気もしますがこれからまだ学んでいかないといけないことが多いので頑張っていきたいです。

This month was so much fun for me. There was lots of exciting activity. I had many good experiences.

Chaplain Zach is my geometry teacher and also chaplain. he is so…kinda crazy I like him. He always makes us happy and smile.

He likes music and singing.

While we getting on bus, he was singing song with other students. 

Of course, I took video that. I wanna show you guys.

He looks like student. I like his personality.

 Ice Skating was for the first time in my life but It was kinda easy and I didn’t fall!!!!!!!yeaaaaaaaaaaaah!!

Before we coming to Ice Skating, we went to the mall with my friends and got same clothes. We gonna wear that on same day at my school.

Finally, Japanese boys are coming my school next week. I’m so exciting and my friends also have the same feeling as me.

I hear that it’s first time boy come to this school and I’m first student who come to here as whole year(one year)student.

I hope becoming friends with them and if they have any questions and something don’t understand I’ll help them.

I’m so happy ‘cause I was a listener until now.

I didn’t know everything and I had to tell other students. 

Probably, Japanese boys will in the same boat.

So, I wanna help them and teach everything.

I don’t know what class they will take. It’s up to their English skill and knowledge but I will so happy if I making good Japanese friends.

I can’t wait!!!!!!!
