９月に入り新しい生活がスタートしました。

現地校に入った事はもちろん、それに伴い新しいホストステイ先に移動しました。そこで、私は新しいホストファミリーについてと現地校での現状を紹介したいと思います。

まず新しいホストファミリーについてです。新しいホームステイ先には私の他にもう一人メキシコからの留学生がいます。とても明るく、面倒見も良いのですぐに打ち解けることができました。今の私にはお姉ちゃんのような存在です。

次に現地校についてです。現地校にはたくさんの留学生がいます。私が入学したイマキュラタ（immaculate）高校は留学生が少ないと聞いていたのですが、日本よりもはるかに多い留学生が通っています。留学生は一クラスに集まる機会が多かったので、留学生同士仲が良く留学生の間で仲の良いグループができているという印象があります。また授業に関してはもちろん全て英語で行われているため、理解に苦しむことが多くあります。さらに授業内容も日本での授業とは全く違う内容をやっていることが多いです。そのため、他の留学生はある程度理解できている事でも私にとっては難しいことが多く授業で出た課題にも日本での課題よりも２倍から３倍ほどかかることも多々あります。新しい生活が始まって１カ月が経ちますが、まだまだ慣れないことが沢山あるので、色々な人との交流を増やすなどして少しでも早くこの生活に馴染めるようになりたいです。

A new life started for me in September. Not only did I move to a new homestay, but I also entered a local school in Canada. I would like to introduce my new host family and the current situation at the local school.

First, I would like to talk about my new host family. There is another international student from Mexico besides me at my new homestay. She was very bright and caring, so I was able to open up to her immediately. She is like an older sister to me now. I feel like we are a real family.

Next is the local school. There are many international students at the local school. I heard that the immaculate high school where I entered has a few international students also, but there are far more international students than in Japan. The international students had many opportunities to gather in one classroom, so I got the impression that they got along well and formed a good group together. In addition, since all classes are taught in English,it is often difficult to understand. Furthermore, the contents of the classes are often completely different from those in Japan. As a result, even if other international students can understand to some extent, it is difficult for me.

It’s been a month since I started my new life, but there are still many things I can’t get used to, so I want to get used to this life as soon as possible by increasing my interactions with various people.
