New Zealand　Fさん（2025年2月）

　ニュージーランドに留学して1ヶ月が経ちました。私は日本との違いに驚きながらも、多くの貴重な経験をしました。まず、現地の人々のフレンドリーさに感動しました。バスの運転手やお店の店員さんが笑顔で挨拶してくれるのは、日本ではあまり見られない光景でした。学校でも、先生やクラスメートがとても親切で、英語がうまく話せなくても、根気よく聞いてくれるので、安心して会話ができました。

学校生活では、日本とは異なる教育スタイルを体験しました。授業は生徒一人一人の時間割が配られ、自分に合った教科を選択することができます。そのため、自分の個性を伸ばす環境が整っているのだと感じました。

また、ニュージーランドの自然の美しさにも感動しました。青い空と緑の草原が広がり、どこへ行っても美しい景色が楽しめます。休日にはホストファミリーと一緒にビーチや山へ出かけ、大自然を満喫しました。

留学を通して、英語力だけでなく、異文化への理解や自立心も身につきました。最初は不安でしたが、新しい環境に身を置くことで、多くのことを学ぶことができました。

My first month in New Zealand was very exciting. When I first arrived, everything looked so different. The buildings were short, and the trees were green and tall. I was a little scared because I didn’t know anyone, but everyone was really friendly.

In school, the lessons were fun. My teacher is nice, and she helps me when I don’t understand. The students here speak English all the time, and at first, it was hard to understand everything. But every day, I learn more words and get better at talking to my New Zealanders. I like the way they talk. Sometimes, they use difficult words that I don’t know, but they teach me.

One thing I really like in New Zealand is the food. There are so many kinds of fruit, and I have never eaten so many blueberries and peaches. I also tried a Kiwi fruit, and it was really delicious and sour. New Zealand has a lot of ice cream, and I like it. I think it’s the best ice cream I have ever had. During the weekends, I went to the beach. The water was so cold, but I still had fun playing in the sand. I also went to a big zoo where I saw some cute animals. It was fun walking around with my host family and my friend. I was very tired when I climbed the mountain, but I was glad to see the beautiful scenery. I think New Zealand is a great place to study and explore. I want to learn even more about it in the next month.
